DUde YES SAN ANTONIO
Alamo Cafe - A great place, amazing tortillas, get the laredo chicken and die a happy man. I recommend the one on 10 West, it's the best of the bunch
See the Alamo, it's quite awesome
Go to the hotel across from the Alamo (name escapes me) but Roosevelt stayed there a LOT and is rumored to be uber haunted
The river walk is kind of a tourist trap, but there are a few good places to go along it. AVOID Original mexican Cafe, it's not the REAL DEAL it's one of their franchised locations and suffers big time. I forgot the name of the market downtown, but there is an awesome indoor market to check out.

How long is the visit? If you are going for a weekend trip then visit Shiner and then float down the Brazos.

Well played, trolls.
They're gonna hate my Christmas nativity that turns into a reenactment of The Aristocrats.

I'd love to rock a TX trip and bring the wife unit down to Austin and San Antonio. She'd love those cities.

I'll be driving to Texas, Summer 2012, for the F1 race in Austin. Guess I'll check out my birth town of Humble. Haven't been there in 32 years.

Article about how Houston, despite strong efforts, has yet to really get a residential core in downtown. I always get a kick out of how different Houston is compared to other cities, because of this fact. Sadly, this is a short article and doesn't get very in depth about the reasons behind the lack of people living downtown. It's always kind of embarrassing when someone comes to stay in Houston and ask "what's interesting close by" and of course the answer is NOTHING because downtown is just for office workers.
