Off to the Lake district for the paternal unit's birthday and a catch up with the family (brother and his wife and kids are coming up Saturday). Just finished the first batch of storyboards for the World's Greatest Debut Film (TM) and had a hectic week with work and running around with the new woman in my life, so a quiet weekend in the middle of nowhere is most welcome.

I imagine me and my bro will end up staying up all night Saturday getting smashed on rum - its what we do - but that too will be most welcome.

I'm off from work tomorrow and Monday, and we're road-tripping to PA to my niece's wedding, which is Saturday. We're getting on the road early tomorrow, and hitting some flea markets/antique shops/car shows, or whatever combination thereof we stumble across. Getting into town sometime around dinner or later. Spend Saturday and Sunday morning with the family for the wedding, then headed back to NY 10ish or 11ish on Sunday after breakfast with the folks. Then if the weather is nice and we get back to NY at a reasonable hour, we're hitting Coney Island for the rest of Sunday! As for Monday - shit baby, that's just free time for ME! WHOOT!

The GF's best friend is having her birthday at the Spaghetti Warehouse. One of the worst and over rated, and overpriced, restaurants in Houston. It survives solely due to the enormous attention from its hauntings.

There's a Spaghetti Warehouse in San Diego. I remember eating there, one of the times I went to Comic-Con.

What really pisses me off is the original choice was for a cool Tex-Mex joint that sells a lot of Felix's (an awesome Tex-Mex place that shut down) recipes, as the two owners were friends and Felix decided to sell them the recipes. Instead, shitty "Italian."

Friday night: Taking my Dad out to the Black Forest Inn for Oktoberfest.
Saturday: Errands, probably 'The Social Network', and then dinner with one of the wife unit's coworkers.
Sunday: Going up to Taylor's Falls with my brother and his wife for the day. Should get some good pictures up there.

Finished up one long time project today, will finish another one Friday, get some stuff started for Monday, work-wise.

Saturday AM, KUB x-rays at the hospital for my kidney stone check-up Oct. 12 (must make sure the lil' devils aren't coming back!). After the x-rays, Jen and I are going shopping for her sister's birthday party on Sunday. Then the rest of Saturday is wide open. Plan on loafing with occasional naps here and there.

Haaaa! Same sentiment, less historical. Last flea marketing trip for our anniversary, the first really cool thing that George found was a 1976 "Welcome Back, Kotter" coffee mug in perfect condition!
