The other week, I ran into a girl I used to be really good friends with before uni (she wrote poetry and liked much the same kinda music - what choice did my 16 year old self have?)

We kinda drifted apart while I was away in England (through no real fault of my own) and she seemed happy to make amends about basically freezing me out by inviting me up to her house for a joint birthday party.

The shindig was great. She seemed to like her present and I got a text from her the next morning saying she was made up I went. I'd kinda already made peace with the fact that she was a lost friend so patching things back together with her's been a lovely surprise.

I even managed to fit in a few drinks in my favourite pub (see the "Where You Live" thread and look under Auntie Annie's) before the party with another friend! I needed that after a cruddy week.

If only United hadn't blown their chance to close the gap on Chelsea after they drew!

Thursday's almost over, time to think about the weekend!

Friday night I'm taking a walking ghost tour in downtown Houston. I really have no hopes of it being worth a shit, but being able to go downtown when it's not a 120 degree concrete oven is always nice.

Saturday is MOTHAFUCKIN REN FEST. I plan on getting shitty and bloated. I look forward to it greatly.

Sunday will be recuperating and pulled pawk.

Tonight, going to see Red with Jen after dinner out - we postponed it last weekend due to last minute stuff.

Saturday AM - gotta get me a renal ultrasound to make sure my plumbing's OK, in preparation for January's exploration through my pee-pee. After a run to the dump, the rest of the day will be hanging out with my best buddy, going over our plan of attack for Chiller Theater next weekend.

Sunday, I ain't doing shit apart from some cleaning.
