Had a really fun 4th of July weekend.
Friday: hit the Taste of Minnesota with the wife unit. We ended up catching a band that I wanted to see (Electric Eye, a Judas Priest tribute band that fucking rocks) and a band that she wanted to see (Starship w/Mickey Thomas). Starship was surprisingly awesome...Mickey has a backing band that incredibly tight and a guitarist that can tear shit up. All songs had a heavier edge to them, even the dreaded 'We Built This City'. We saw the Marshall Tucker Band as well, and they were impressive.
Saturday: Slept in, ran errands, and hit the lake. Good fun.

Worked out. Drew stuff. Worked out more. Drew more stuff. Played "gunshot or firework" all weekend. Played some Wolfenstein. Watched some Coppola, namely Drac 92 with the laserdisc commentary (which was awesome) and Apocalypse Now.

Sigh. Old man fucked up all my weekend plans. Have to go to the ranch and clean out two horse pens because he has some studs coming this weekend. Gotta make a trip out there to do that, when I was planning on seeing Apes, Snowpiercer, and sit on a patio drinking frozen shandies.Comment

The wife unit had some severe laptop issues this week, causing her to get way behind in her work. She's planning on working a full day this weekend (probably Sunday) in order to catch up, so I'm gonna try and go see APES while she's working (she doesn't care to see it).
