SAN ANDREAS- sure, it's "disaster porn" or whatever but it's also fun to watch. It reminds me a the kind of movie I would watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon when I don't want to do anything else. My last week or so of movies.
Jungle Book - Very pretty movie. I enjoyed it.
The Nice Guys - Funny. The actress who played the young daughter was great.
Triple 9 - Decent crime film. Casey Affleck was wasted, didn't get to do much in the film, but Chiwetel Ejiofor and Clifton Collins Jr. were great. Wasn't great but I enjoyed it.
Criminal - Similar to Triple 9 in that it wasn't great but I enjoyed it. I feel like there aren't as many of these mid tier action/crime/sci-fi movies as there used to be.
The Conjuring 2 - Not a horror buff like most of you guys but I really liked it. More curious to see James Wan's take on Aquaman.
The Book of Life - Cool animated movie. Gorgeous looking.
Rounders and Out of Sight - Favorites of mine that I have watched too many times probably but haven't watched in a few years. Still love them. Realized while watching Out of Sight that Elmore Leonard's shared cinematic universe is my favorite shared cinematic universe even if you just limit it to Out of Sight and Jackie Brown sharing Michael Keaton's Ray Nicolette, and don't consider all the other films based on his books. Reminded me that Carla Gugino's tv version of Karen Sisco showed up on Justified too. The best cinematic/tv shared universe! Will probably watch Jackie Brown and Get Shorty again soon. Also, Rounders doesn't need a sequel, but shit I would like to see what Mike, Worm, Petra, Joey Knish, and Teddy KGB are up to."With all the dick sucking and butt fucking jokes we make, this is the gayest thing ever posted on BDR. Again, comedies do not need to be 2 hours long. STOP IT.
