I will go back and do that for sure. When you call it a 'fireball' attack it makes it sound like I am playing some kind of Mario RPG.

There seems to be a deal where Mordin takes the loss if you don't keep him in your squad or send him back with the crew. I had the same problem, Mike. I restarted from a save I had right after you send the crew back and kept him in my squad and everyone made it okay. In looking back, I would have sent him to escort the crew to the Normandy instead of Grunt because I forgot Mordin was a hard-ass who defended his clinic from the Blue Whatsits all by himself.
