No dead pixels or burn-in issues for us. Our TV has been nothing but perfect since the day that we bought it, probably 20 months ago. We absolutely love the thing.

If you make it out of the 2 year window, you got it made in the shade. Screen power supply, dead pixels and edge burn are the biggies to eyeball.

I have like 4 dead pixels on my current rig, and OLED is the only way I'm going atm. Mostly for price for the image quality.

Reasonably priced 4K, real or a money pit? I'm contemplating on downsizing the screen to fit our living room better and upscaling the actual TV. we have a 55" now and it's just a bit to big for the room.

If you just want a 4K monitor and nothing else. Vizio or TCL will do you.

Fuck, I still pick up TCLs to use as computer monitors at work.

I got a Vizio, and it's great. I considered the LG OLED, but after watching both in person I couldn't justify the $700-1000 increase.

I'm talking something in the 40" range. 55" sounds wonderful till you see how much room it takes up and it's an older model that weighs all of the lbs ever and I just want something thinner and more current tech wise. Possibly to upgrade a console or for a new one later.

43-47 inches will do it for you to get true pic quality.

Size would be perfect for our living room, any particular standouts manufacture wise? I don't mind spending SOME money but I'm not spending 1000 for a TV anymore. Just won't

Rob, I got the P Series Quantum 65". Got mine at Costco for like $1,100.

sweet. so much conflicting information online about what is best image quality/overall for these different sets.

I miss the days when it was just like "I am going to buy a bigger tv that can do 1080p".

I'm still leaning towards OLED as the one I'm looking at is 1700 and seems to be great but I keep reading that while the picture quality and blacks are FANTASTIC with it, that the brightness in HDR scenes is not as bright as a model like yours or non OLED.

So it's like do I want PERFECT blacks and image, or decent blacks and brightness? Considering I'm not watching TV in bright rooms for the most part I don't think it's a big issue on my end but it's still anxiety producing as whatever tv I purchase will be used for at least 6-7 years at minimum and I don't want to fuck myself.

Again, thrilled to death with my OLED. Just phenomenal picture quality and perfect blacks. No issues that I can tell with brightness.

I will say the different in black levels is noticeable between OLED and my Vizio. But when I use the TV it's with windows open (glares on the screen) or at night with just a couple lights on (dark as hell) so the black level didn't bother me so much. It's much more noticeable in games where dynamic lighting is going on than movies. Don't notice it at all in movies.

sweet. I think I may just grab that B8 OLED set then as it may not have HDMI 2.1 inputs but since I don't foresee doing HFR + HDR at the same time in the future it should do the trick.

                                Thanks fellas!
