I dislike the remakes because they take money & other resources away from worthy projects on NEW material that I KNOW are out there to turn a cynical buck. Also, w/ very rare exceptions, they suck. SO they're effectively a waste of those resources. And like Tim, I was gonna say that, even though I am intrigued by the new Spidey reboot, I don't see why the Peter Parker Parents angle couldn't be incorporated into the existing story line somehow. They're using the Lizard, a new villain, anywway. Why not advance the already existing storyline a bit?I like the way the line runs up the back of the stocking.
