Turns out it's harder to de-age a 40 year old back to their 20s then a 50 year old to a 30 year old BUT I did like see Anakin and Obi again together. That scene was fun.

. Everything else was dumb as usual for this show. Lolz to all of the tech in this universe and still someone somewhere decided the best case of action to show that a robot is bad and works for the empire is to make their light red. I get it, it's how it was in the original or just in general but when they're like "WE HAVE A SPY THEY WON'T KNOW" and the thing is basically twirling it's stupid robot mustache I have to laugh. And fucking

Leia being in that vent for god knows how long with that stupid robot glowing evviiiiillllll red was so goddamn dumb.

The best thing this show has done is give Hayden his proper due AND once again to show why Vader is a badass (except for that dumb fire fight where he apparently forgot how to use the force).

I think I figured out what one of my big issues is with this show: It's shot like a fucking video you see at a Universal theme park. That shot with the troopers coming out of the carriers and the third sister walking to the door looked so fucking bland and mehhhh. Like totally fake. So weird because that shit wasn't a problem in Mando/Boba for the most part. Not sure what the deal is.

Also, you know the writing is bad when the only thing that made me go "AWWWWWwwww" was

It's the brutal cuts from what was written to what we see is blowing my mind. Mainly because it's not like they traded a ton of stuff down. They shot it all and then manic edited around it.

should have been as awesome as that duel from Phantom but it was like edited really weird and looked flat. But again, it just shows that Vader is indeed a badass. That being said, the one thing that still bothers me is why so many fucking jedi/sith just yell and run at each other when they want to kill each other. Like, pull a fucking Snoke man. How hard would it have been to just saunter up to that person with the lightsaber held sideways and just flick the switch? Better chance of ending them as opposed to running full speed going ARRHGHGHGHGHGHHGH. dumb.

I caught up with Obi Wan. This show is bad. The fight choreography is fucking awful. I swear they are actively sabotaging the Third Sister actress. What was that "fight" with Vader where she like crawled around behind him to try and swing at this ankles, but was moving at a snail's speed? Also Vader is just so fucking ruined. He was scary in the originals (and Rogue One) because he was a fucking rabid dog on a leash kept chained by the Emperor. They've just turned him into a dull puppy that stomps his feet if things aren't perfect, and gives up.

The show is just flat out bad. A waste of everything and if we get a second season you just know that Disney is gonna be like "YOU GUYS LIKE DARTH MAUL WITH ROBOT LEGS RIGHT? WE HAVE THE MOTHER OF DRAGONS IN OUR SHOW NOW REMEMBER SOLO PLEASE WATCH"

It sucks that everyone is talking about this and not Ms. Marvel which is fantastic.

And solely based on this, Moses Ingram is terrible actress. I have no idea what else she's been in, but she's had like one or two okay scenes. I have to believe it's just the direction + the bad script, but she deserves all the criticism leveled at her that she's gotten based on what is presented. Just a terrible hatchet job all around.

  Spoiler: The never ending battle to keep milking a cow 

I don't buy for a moment that shortly after shooting they didn't get the heads up that this was going to be an ongoing series.

Way too much got edited and shifted around in the back half to break it away from a limited series and into an ongoing thing.

That and Liam Neeson shot shit for at least 3-4 days only for them to use 3 sentences.

I learned last week Palpy was coming and how they shot him on the London version of The Volume without makeup. So, it was like how is that going to look? Like a 90s Star Trek show was doing the FX. It's passable until you really look at it.

Thankfully, Filoni is in charge and has gotten all of the say on Ahsoka. Which is going to shoot all around the timeline for a little bit, while also being practically Rebels Season 5.

Still, this whole thing had a plan that got compromised when Disney got the slightest whiff they could get a new ongoing out of it. What's really fascinating to me is that this show is more of Disney's baby and less belonging to Filoni/Favreau. I knew that going in, but the difference in results is FASCINATING AS FUCK.

Even when Obi Wan gets a second season, I feel like Disney shot themselves in the foot. You've got to incorporate the Qui Gon stuff that was shot and match it to new shit you have to make. What else? Keep forcing Reva down people's throats? Because it's the audience's fault that they hate your poor ideas.

We have more Inquisitors die? This time it's Little Luke vs. Little Leia? You do some vocal FX to start making McGregor sound like Guinness?

That lol "final Battle" between Vader and Obi was legit great. However, this is legit greater with a simple change of the music to be the same from Ep 3.

  Spoiler: I guess spoilers for a disappointing show. 

The final episode wasn't bad except for the fact that there was no drama involved at all except maybe with Ice Cube's son's people. We know that none of the main players are gonna die so who really gives a shit in the end? But hey! We found out how Vader got that cool head scar. Too bad that shot was done in the animated shit at least twice so far. It was neat though. Dug the voice changing randomly between Hayden/Fake Jones and lol to that line that makes Obi's line from A New Hope "true".

Too much nonsense, not enough to make this worthwhile imo. And man, as much as I wanted to see Qui-Gon show up, he does for like 30 secs, looks weird, and now it's gonna be the Qui Gon and Obi show next season? Ok. No more kids. Get rid of Reva. Stop doing prequel shit. Also, lulz to that Emperor scene. That shit looked fucking terrible without even knowing what you mentioned Anderson.

Huh. That fucking ruled. That feels like the first real proper duel of opponents at the peak of their Force powers really going at it as would be expected. Vader blocking the saber with the force was awesome.

While overall I think the show was pretty bad (especially in terms of direction), the finale worked for me. It was enjoyable and entertaining and, most importantly, pretty cool overall. Lots of good stuff to help tamper down the bad stuff.

I can't give the whole show a pass based on the finale but you're right Matt, the finale wasn't bad but it showed how bad the other eps were.

The coolest part is that Ari told me that

That's super neat. I even mentioned that to Lesley last night when watching that "It's pretty neat with the helmet thing but I've seen that shit in Rebels already. Had no idea about the different sides.
