We really need to buy a new tv. Was over at Worf's on Thanksgiving and I brought over MW2. I thought it looked great on my tv. I was fucking wrong. SO FUCKING WRONG. Shit was goddamn glorious on his fucking Bravia. So much H8.

he good: Accurate color; extensive picture controls including unique Picture Wizard; adequate connectivity with three HDMI and one PC input; energy-efficient. The bad: Reproduces relatively light black levels; below-average uniformity and off-angle viewing; no S-Video input. The bottom line: While its black levels and uniformity mark the LG LH30 series as an entry-level display, its extensive picture controls allow the color accuracy of a flagship model.
For the price it doesn't seem bad.

And yes, 1080p is still good but it's dependent on the size of the TV, the viewing distance, and what you'll be viewing on it.
120Hz is nice. It's the rate of which the TV refreshes. My TV is a 120Hz and I have no qualms with it at all. I know some TVs now are at 240Hz. 120Hz is fine if you're not a hardcore videophile and are able to spot minute delays.
I haven't heard anything about Vizio's "Smooth Motion" tech. It's hard to say with Vizio though. I've seen some nice sets and I've seen sets that fucking had horrible screen lag.
I hear some people complain about 240Hz making CG effects standout like a sore thumb, so if you're going 240, you may want to look at a TV that has the option of turning it off.
