What's so fucked up about the bitch from Alaska is that she participated in the funding of a secession movement with her government paycheck.

A seated official taking part in a secession movement with her husband. Seven letters, people. Starts with a T and ends with an N.

How so? In Texas/Arizona/New Mexico (not sure about California) there is enormous amounts of hate for the Mexican/Central/South Americans that come up here and work for pennies on the dollar. Because of these people coming up here and working for dirt cheap the middle class gets to live like kings.

Our food costs are extremely low, because all of the restaurants employ them. Our housing costs are astronomically low because they are building the home, repairing the roof, and installing the new marble counter tops. I can get my lawn manicured and magazine stunning for a couple hours of my paycheck thanks to them.

So I don't think it's a gross oversight at all to say that thanks to these workers the middle class in Texas and other border states get to live like kings and have tons more disposable income than other places in the US. And the Tea Party's line is "taking jobs away from Americans" and that's just not entirely true. The real loss of jobs comes from the complete late of manufacturing/factory work in America. So, ok, let's take away all the illegals doing the work. Cheap cost of living that we take for granted will skyrocket. Labor costs to employ citizens will be exponentially greater. Now we have less businesses because many will not make it through the change, a smaller workforce driving prices up even further, and a loss of disposable income. And Texas' economy has been aces through this economical downturn. It would collapse the economy of the southwest.

It is a gross oversight because they're undermining immigration and naturalization processes. They work under the system and open up the Southwest and other parts open to criminal rackets. They allow the corporate sector to pray upon them and artificially manipulate wages across the board.

On top of that, it fucks things up when you factor in Globalization. Manipulating worker flow and gross dollar income in turn fucks up the strength of the dollar.

Does Texas catch a break from this? Fuck yeah. But, they're doing it illegally. For the safety of these workers and to reinforce work standards, these people must be made to come public and become legal. The current modus operandi doesn't work. It's no different than the Russian Jew sweatshops of New York and the East Coast at the turn of the century.

I don't disagree that they are undermining the legal process, but the answer isn't to "round them up and kick them out" because that would do more harm than good. And it wouldn't solve the problem. They'll come back. There needs to be a legitimate solution found, and screaming "kick em out" isn't the answer.

Screaming it isn't the answer, but there has to be action. Those who fight any legal process should be deported on the spot.

Seriously guys. Pay attention to this race. Crist is officially announcing that he is running as an independent. If he wins? Yeah, the seeds for a new party will definitely be sown. He has the right kind of populist charisma to lead the building of a new party. Whether he realizes the direction he is going in or not.....

I still wonder if the gay rumors about Crist will EVER be adressed?

Not since he got married, no. We turn a blind eye to gay rumors when the person in question is married. Until they get caught by the 5-0 in the men's bathroom.
