Did absolutely squat this weekend, and it felt glorious. Some light cleaning and shredding of old financial documents, watched Ilsa She-Wolf of the SS (alternately horrified and amused by this flick. Should do a review), farted around on the arcade here, picked up a birthday present (Nordstrom gift card) for my sister-in-law, and just relaxed.

Saturday evening, I headed out to my sweetie's place, and we just had some dinner, relaxed, and caught SNL.

Sunday - late breakfast, a little shopping, took a good long walk around the lake in George's hood, stopped into a little cafe for pie and coffee, came home and took a nap together, then ordered take out and ate at home while we watched "Full Metal Jacket."

Bought a new microwave and a wool pea coat type of jacket that was 50% off. Rocked out Saturday night and got to hang with my best bud for the first time in a long time and saw another buddy that I hardly ever see. Pretty good night.

Well, Saturday was a huge wash. Was up late Friday (bow chika wow wow) and slept in until 8am Saturday. Saturday was month-long grocery shopping, so we didn't finish putting up the last groceries until 2pm. After that we were tapped, and ended up having some tasty beer and finishing the second season of The Wire. Brittany's parents wanted me to come out Sunday and BBQ, but I wasn't up for the long drive to their place to go with all my driving this week. Ate leftover green chile mac n cheese and felt horrible about myself.

Treated the lacerations Bucky gave me during the bath. If he smells of anything, it's probably my blood.

Went to a used bookseller and traded in some old stuff. Found some cool things.

Polished up my outline for my book, and then wrote what I think will be the first chapter.

Made some cheesesteaks. Drank some bourbon. Had a wank or two.

Standard weekend.

I got to go to a GA game. And that was an all day affair, but so much fun. I got to see UGA VIII (mascot) up close, the processional of players into the stadium, even did a bit of tailgating. And we won- course it was just against Idaho State- but we won.

Vin I thought about you because the lady tailgating next to us had all sorts of imported cheeses.

Made chili for our cook off on Sunday, watched movies, played video games, sex and packed.

Got shit-faced in town on Friday night, got a free ride in a strip club's Hummer, lost £80 at the casino and sang Lay Lady Lay at the karaoke bar.

Stayed in bed til 4pm Saturday watching Duck Soup, Monkey Business and Animal Crackers. Went to meet Laura and two of her friends, had a chilli and played board games.

Stayed in bed with Laura til 2pm Sunday, had a LOT of sex (her housemate asked her "Is Ben here? Cos I thought I heard you crying and was gonna come running in, but thought better of it"), went for a very late breakfast and then saw some fucking kickass fireworks at Old Trafford cricket ground. Back to mine for a curry, a short dance around the living room to Nat King Cole and then back to bed.

So yeah, pretty good weekend.
