I’m meh on it. Not many animated movies have been amazing for a while.

New Lightyear trailer. As much as I wish it wasn't some realistic take on it OR at the very least have Tim Allen do the voice, this looks pretty great from a technical level and possibly just a fun cgi sci-fi flick that happens to reference a toy from Toy Story.

Radcliffe is fine

the film is just off, though. The comedic rhythm never gels and it's terribly directed in general.

As antidote, we watched ROMANCING THE STONE tonight. Now THAT is a movie.

I'm guessing Brad Pitt is dead not too long after he shows up and Daniel Radcliffe stands out badly, not unlike his questionable taste in post-Potter projects.

Yo its the gayrotic aspect of it that elevates Top Gun above Iron Eagle.

I'll wait until it hits streaming/cable. No way anything in this sequel will match the big topless male model volleyball scene in the first, and the unanswered question as to why Goose kept his shirt on.

Looks effing GREAT. Cool to see how they'll be using Val Kilmer in it, too.

Oooh, yah the JW guys could pull it off.

Speed Racer shows the Wachowski sisters could pull it off but they'd have to love the source material.

Either that or the JOHN WICK guys should do NINJA SCROLL. That concept needs some amazingly competent action in order to work.

At one point, I'd have suggested the Wachowskis for NS but not anymore. They peaked with the first MATRIX film and have completely crawled up their own asses since then.

I was going to say Sam Raimi as well, but he hasn't directed something I've dug in like over a decade. Really hoping that DS2 fixes that but if I had to choose early Raimi or early Jackson, I'd totally still pick Jackson.
