Almost saw this last Thursday...had I checked my email in time, I would have had passes to see a screening at the imax theater at the MN Zoo. Alas...

I'm on my 6th draft of the review and I still feel more changes coming.

The framing device is all Disney mandate and it kicks the wind out of the sails before the film even gets going. They should've stuck with opening on the Arizona territory and "First thing on the list...beans".

Really? It was better than the marketing released, but between the Neverending Story framing and the terrible editing it did nothing to sell me on the movie.

If you're familiar with John Carter and like Burroughs before this flick, you'll be disappointed over the missed opportunity.

If you have no idea going in, you'll just think it's some generic Sci-Fi flick.
