I liked it. A lot. It gave me everything I would have wanted out of a final leg of a trilogy. My chief complaint would be Bane, but I'm not sure just yet what it was about him that I didn't like. And I would have to agree with Rob about the Alfred moment at the end. Going to go see it again tomorrow with Nathan, I'll see if I can pinpoint my Bane issues.

In the first fight, all he knew is that Bane had a mask on. He didn't know that the mask was significant and just thought it was like his: a disguise. Once he realized that the mask was pumping Bane full of painkillers to keep him lucid, in the second fight he went right for it and got Bane to lose his cool and fight sloppy (which you do when, you know, pain starts showing up).

So basically it was fight psychology: find the weakness and attack.

I'm sad the Nolanverse is done. I would've liked to have seen his take on other villains. Like, I dunno, Bryan Cranston as The Riddler (fuck that David Tennant shit) or something.

The fact that Bats wouldn't hear the voice and assume, I dunno, "hmms, maybe this mask is more than just a fear thing" doesn't work for me in your explanation. I mean, I didn't outright hate the movie, it just doesn't seem to be the ending that I expected? TDK had a better "ending" in my mind. Also, Bruce is a whiny bitch.

I'm also not hating on anyone who enjoyed it (seems like most of you did), but to me this movie was one giant let down (especially since it was the last of Bats in Nolanverse)

Harry and I (and probably Anderson) had some of the same thoughts about it, but I was just really let down. There were definiately awesome parts (the opening, was great, Catwoman was awesome, the comic beats, etc) but the whole beaten down, back in the fray, beaten down again, back in the fray again, didn't work for me as intended.

Pointless in the way that this, objectively, added nothing to the other two movies. The ending of TDK worked fine especially knowing how this played out in my opinion.
