Is that the official storyboard? I read that at one point they DID plan to show a door in Arkham/Prison for Joker but scrapped it.

If so, I'd like to know why they toned their shit with crayons.

No, I'm really not. I think to be honest, as much as I love the film, I can totally see how it could be an almost top to bottom disappointment. But I think viewed as Nolan making a statement, its a more interesting film than Inception. Let's keep this to Nolan and these films.
