My wife has a theory that people went and saw Lorax out of monetary necessity. Her thought was that it would be cheaper to take the kids to the movies than to get a baby sitter and the adults go out. I don't know that I necessarily agree with her but I know fuck all about what you'd pay a sitter since we never leave the kids with anyone not family.

She's not too far off from the truth. It's artificially propped up a lot of other movies before.
