The trilogy is so plot focused, that Collins (I think that's her name) loses all sense of dialogue and character interaction.

Kind of on the same page here with Rob. However, I'm sure I'll wind up watching and/or reading Hunger Games eventually. I mean, it does sound interesting, but with BR and stuff like Stephen King's The Long Walk (one of his Bachman books) doing a hell of a job with a similar theme, I'm not sure it'll bring anything special to the table.
