  • 'Breaker Morant'. Yep, still awesome.

It's delightful, though not quite as much as the novel.

As would I, although that's like taking Winona over Isla in a desert island pinch.

Nonsense. Le Samourai is a classic. The American is a good movie that felt like In Bruge's more boring brother. You know, the accountant one.

        • The American

It's good, but don't stretch yourself over that one. has watched it once, and won't watch it again. Unlike In Bruges, which drew comparisons for me.

          Cars 2

Probably the weakest Pixar flick (though I never got the hate for first Cars - Wall-E is one the same level for me...). Too much Mater (fuck Larry the Cable Cunt BTW), 15 minutes too long, but what a gorgeous movie. My kid loved that shit so hard (and that was his first theater experience). And what a waste of Bruce Campbell....

A 5/10. I've seen MUCH worse as far was kid movies goes.
          I guess I should

          • I suppose it is my failing that I did not describe in detail what I believed was the distinction between a direct comparison and that of influence (re: "kin") and several of you negated what was a completely misconstrued comment as a result.

            For this, I apologize.

                  • Night Moves.

Or as I'd call it, "Gene Hackman plays chess, drinks, fucks up again and again and still, the panties drop."

Some of the most ridiculously convoluted double-crossing I have seen outside of a conman movie.

Incredible stuntwork at the end, though.

                    • Did Martin really just compare "Wall-E" to "Cars"?

Pretty much. Maybe Wall-E will win me back later on, but It's core message is much more hamfisted and retarded than Cars.

Cars and it's sequel are the Michael Bay movies of the Pixar stable.
