Superman 4: The Quest for Peace. By Hocken, it almost makes Turkish Star Wars look like gold. I can't in good conscience watch that flick ever again. Superman 3 was no great shakes either, but damn was Superman 4 shit. Hackman, Reeve, Cryer just phoned those roles in.

Clearly you've never seen The Ugly Truth. A film that posits itself as a romantic comedy with insight into modern relationships, yet has no laughs and nothing to say. It also wastes Heigl's rack and Butler's charm and, rather than being a diverting 90 minutes, a la The Proposal, left me hateful and depressed.

'the Ugly Truth' is abyssmal. That was ANOTHER film that my wife insisted that I take her to see in the theater. It's far from the worst romcom ever made, but it's way down there on the quality scale.

I will cop to the fact that I did laugh in it twice: the baseball scene and the dinner scene (with the vibrating panties) went over pretty well in the theater.
