As with anything, small doses aren't the worst thing in the world, but it is basically the chunk form of fructose.

Raises your insulin levels, makes you lethargic, and the sugar isn't absorbed by the body correctly and it turns it into fat instead of energy. Basically, you're chewing a bunch of cola.

It's a shitty fruit. Tasty, but shitty.
