Holy buckets, this show. I feel like it's leading us down a very deliberate path where, at the end, we'll be able to go back and be "holy shit, it was right in front of us the whole time!" but right how anything is possible. Like that theory Rob posted says, I think the key line to this whole this is Marty saying inattention was his biggest sin. Almost all of the pieces are here for us now, we just need to put them in the right order.
OH also, time is a flat circle. Maybe I've been too focused on looking forward, has there been anything related about the pasts of Marty or Rust that might show a pattern of what's happening having occurred before? or at least a trauma of some kind that could connect them to the cult of the Yellow King?
And, what's with the weird wreath that shows up on the tree where they found the '95 victim? Oh man, this show is so good.

From what I've read, next season's True Detective is going to be its' own animal, with an all new cast and story, and nary a Woody or McConaugheythereGeorgyGirl,Swingin'downthestreetso fancyfree in sight.
I'm calling it now - one of 'em might not make it to the end of the season. I'm also betting tonight's episode and next week's finale are going to be FUCKED. UP.

I think there's another video floating around featuring Marty's oldest daughter instead of Marie.
I need to go back and see who talked with the lawnmower man the first time and if he was wearing something to hide his scars. If feels like there's a lot to do in the last episode. I wonder if it's going to be two hours or something.
