As in DVD to amp to TV?

Ok, I'm a tad baked, so bear with me:

Video from DVD -----> TV
Optical from DVD----->Either vid 1 or vid 2 on your reciever

then depending on which you picked (vid 1 or vid 2) select that on your reciever and make sure the input is set to OPT IN.

Already there. All I get is L R and SW illuminated on the display. I was running my 360 through that audio input this morning and I had all speakers going. What......the....fuck. I'm gonna shit.

And why wouldn't a DVD played through the 360 come through in full surround?

Have you changed your sound source in your 360 to digital?

Oohh....did you select PLII MV on your reciever when dvd is in? If you just lcick on the AFD button on your remote select PLII MV or the one after it once.

Just unplugged the optical cable from the DVD and plugged in the one for the 360. Same input, didn't change anything and when the 360 came on the display showed the rear speakers.

maybe this will work...

Plug in your dVD player again, turn that bitch on with out a dvd in it. Hit the display button on your remote for dvd. There will be an options list. Find the optical sound option and make sure it's on and tweak your settings there. Only thing I can think of.

Sometimes the AFD AUTO doesn't always work. So PLII for the winzors hopefully.
