Thanks, man! Me and the other guys in the band passed through Philly on our trip to Boston (we had a connecting flight through there.) We loved all the Rocky memorabilia in the airport - and movie posters on the walls of the people carousels. I'd love to actually take it in properly, though. I'd gladly go back to Boston, but ideally a return Stateside would be to pastures new. Never been to the West Coast.

Born & raised in NJ (Jersey City, to be precise)(Hiked MUCH here)
          New York Hiked there)
          Connecticut
          Rhode Island (Visited Lovecraft's grave)
          Massachusetts
          New Hampshire
Vermont (skied there, albeit not very well at ALL)
          Pennsylvania
          West Virginia (spelunked there)
          North Carolina
          South Carolina
          Florida (Did the Disney/Universal thing)
          Alabama
Nevada (Vegas and a hike in Red Rock Canyon State Park)
Arizona (Hoover Dam & a hike at the Grand Canyon)
California (Business seminar week in San Diego)
          Alaska (Hiked there)
          Hawaii (Hiked there)

Driven thru Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia & had a layover in Texas and another in Utah on the way elsewhere.

          Outside US:
          Toronto & Vancouver

Want to go back to Hawaii & Alaska, maybe do some spelunking in California, visit the Polish American promised land I've heard Chicago is, hike the Knife Edge in Maine, see Meteor Crater in Arizona, actually visit Atlanta (I particularly want to hit some of the strip clubs; I've heard they're amazing), Montreal (for pretty much the same reason). I actually very little desire to go abroad. My wife wants to go to Italy some day (Florence, specifically), and that'd be cool for the food alone (esp. the CHEESE). Might be neat to see some of Poland, the land of my fathers! [strikes breast w/ fist], but I have a friend who's been and he says it's boring as shit. Maybe Bermuda (I like the idea of going to a Caribbean country & lounging on a beautiful beach, but don't want to have to wade thru a sea of impoverished natives to get there from the airport & be rstricted to the grounds of the resort on pain of machete-powered limb removal. Perhaps Key West can serve instead?). I want to visit the Smithsonian, to see the dinosaur & rocks/minerals stuff. Visiting some funky restaurants would definitely be in order as well. My brother also said he'd like to drive to a Great Lake someday. 'Sabout it, I guess. . .

Mate, you've no idea! The food was one of my favourite things about what I saw of Italy. As stereotypical as it sounds, the ice cream and pizza were like nowhere else on Earth I've experienced... and I've a lot of good things to say about the grub on your side of the pond!

I lived with a Polish fella for two years at uni and he showed me lots of photos of his trips home for Christmas and that. It certainly looked beautiful, especially when covered in deep snow.

So what are some good websites to plan European travel? It's nothing we can afford right now, but we're starting to sniff around the possibility of a couple places in England and a quick pit stop in Paris at some point in the future. George's mom was from England, so we want to go where she was from, where his parents met over there, head to Liverpool for a few days and hit all the Beatle spots, and an overnight in Paris (spending overnight and a full day). We're thinking our best bet would be to fly JFK to Paris, overnight in Paris and the full next day seeing the sights there, then probably getting a train from Paris to London. London for a couple of days, take the train over to Liverpool for a couple of days, then back to London to fly home (or fly back from Liverpool - we haven't gotten that far yet).

If we can't afford that, we'll just do Graceland for a few days, but this would be nice if we can figure out how to swing it.

I went to Michigan a few times. I also went to New York City this past April so my friend could get his picture taken with celebrities. That was a miserable experience.

Honestly? Set up flight searches at Priceline, Expedia and Orbitz. They'll email you deals as they pop up. Also, find a good travel agent. They find great deals all the time and often can set you up with some great B&B's.

Found some of my Russian trip photos.

                        Kremlin? Bam.

                        Summer Palace? Bam.

My dad, boyfriend (of the time) and myself after a skiing lesson in Russian. Notice, my skis are off.

Here's a better picture of me and my ex (Clay).

Yeah, I remember those days. It was actually kinda of short there (as I think I got it cut right before the trip). Short buzzed hair rules.

Yeah, those are mostly the ones I've been hitting. Really, I found some GREAT deals on Hotels.com, which also does flights. We're not going to be able to do a full package online from just one site because we're going to be splitting stuff up due to doing a lot by Eurorail. That might be something an actual human travel agent could help us with, but the hotel deals on Hotels.com were SO cheap! Good four star hotels with five star customer ratings for great rates. Now it's just a matter of timing and saving up money. We need to figure out logistically how long it's going to take us to get from point A to point B to point C, etc., how long we can see what we want to see in each place, blah blah blah.

Much of what we've both want to see is a lot of rock history stuff. We want to fly into Paris, and although I want to see the Eiffel Tower and the Lourve, we also want to track down Jim Morrison's grave. From Paris, on to London and see the sights there. Then instead of going from London straight to Liverpool, we'll stop in Sheffield so we can track down Steve Clark's (of Def Leppard) grave. Then off to Liverpool to do all the Beatle sightseeing, since that's only an hour and some change from Sheffield - then fly home from Liverpool. But Paris to London, London to Sheffield, Sheffield to Liverpool is all going to be by Eurail. Plus hotels in Paris, London and Liverpool - not sure how long we'll be in Sheffield, that could be just a day thing. But those are all the logistics we have to figure out.
