Sometime this year - I've been thinking of trying to ape you and Lisa with running themes for my avatars, and I figured a Mars theme would do wonders, as well as build anticipation for the John Carter movie in 2012.

I had the avatar theme running over at DERP, not here. I may do a theme later, but I'm really digging this Chris Knight avatar at the moment. It feels right as almost a permanent identity. We'll see what happens.

Can't go wrong with Real Genius, Matt. I feel the same way about Ten Bears, but I have him as an avatar in a couple other forums I visit. I can play a bit more here, but I still may revert to him one of these days.

I've thought about doing avatar themes before but I never could throw something together that I could focus on for 12 months.

Tim's series is fantastic.

My theme over at the other site was '2011: the Year We Make Connery'. I was going to do nothing but Connery avatars for a year, and Marshall O'Neill ('Outland') was my January entry. It looks like it'll be my January entry until the end of time, now.
