Alamo Cafe - A great place, amazing tortillas, get the laredo chicken and die a happy man. I recommend the one on 10 West, it's the best of the bunch

See the Alamo, it's quite awesome

Go to the hotel across from the Alamo (name escapes me) but Roosevelt stayed there a LOT and is rumored to be uber haunted

The river walk is kind of a tourist trap, but there are a few good places to go along it. AVOID Original mexican Cafe, it's not the REAL DEAL it's one of their franchised locations and suffers big time. I forgot the name of the market downtown, but there is an awesome indoor market to check out.
