It's incredibly tepid. Like I was talking about on FB. You are aware the entire time that you're watching a cover band. You like the members of the cover band a lot. But, it's still just a cover band.

When I saw it was day one digital my immediate thought was "this probably isn't great."

Didn't release Fletch was day one digital. Might try and watch it this weekend.

I hope Babylon gets done in time to release at Christmas. Because I'm shocked it's edited enough to cut a trailer at this point.

so long as it's not dropped casually here...
Can't wait for Clerks III. Here's hoping it hits digital sooner than later.

One total cunt of a critic for AV Club openly dropped a spoiler in her Clerks 3 review. Something everyone has been courteous enough to not get into since it's something revealed fairly early on.
I had zero desire to see it. But God damn did they have to drop that so casually?

Watched Pearl and Clerks 3. I can't wait for the general public to lose their shit over Clerks 3.
For all the hack fraud shit tossed at Smith, he goes into way out directions everytime he makes a Clerks movie. Because fuck, Clerks 3 said Clerks 2 was the happy one, Clerks 1 was the young one, this is the angry old one.
Elias is still the fucking best.

Actually, Chase played it pretty close to the first six books.
What's really funny is that at this point in the Fletch timeline, John Slattery might have been a better choice for Fletch.

Without having ever read them, I wouldn't be surprised if Hamm plays Fletch closer to the books.
But it's just that we've only had the Chase films and how popular they were in their day. Even though by all accounts, they have very little in common with the book series.

FLETCH is one of the great comedy films.
FLETCH LIVES is not in the same league as the first film but it's better than a lot of the other comedies from the 80s...it just suffers in comparison to the first.
Not sold on Hamm as Fletch in the new one but I'll keep an open mind.

That looks pretty good. Weird seeing Fletch without a James Worthy jersey and being a schlub though. I recommend going back to those first ones Rob. The second is a classic case of not being better than the original, but being so weird and different that it's still really memorable. R Lee Ermey as a prosperity preaching huckster!

Confess, Fletch.
I like Jon Hamm and know nothing about Fletch but the first flick with Chevy Chase that I haven't seen in over 25 years.

Kong v Godzilla 2 coming with everyone and more coming back. Wingard to direct again.
Sweet, bring it on and cut some fat and I'll be happy. Kong:Skull Island is still king of the new flicks imo.
