      THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL

      The wife wanted to see it and I owed her (she'd seen plenty of MY movies recently). Surprisingly good and entertaining. The plot is entirely predictable and there aren't any surprises in it (we correctly pegged who was going to die), but the actors are all so thoroughly committed to their roles that it's pretty easy to get sucked in and enjoy the ride.

      I'm not surprised at all that this film was a massive hit.

        I dug it a lot. Rose Byrne was hilarious. Zac Efron was amazing. He could spend the next 7 years playing smarmy comedy villains and I would be totally cool with that. And they directed the shit out of this movie.
