  • Knightfall stamped the "legit threat" mark on Bane's mug.

Motherscratcher had the right idea, but even upon his half-assed triumph of leaving Bruce a pile of immobile meat, Batman's plot armor was too strong even for him.

Still, hats off to the Evil Ron Coleman of Gotham.

    • Bane had a significant role during the No Man's Land arc

Oh don't look at me like that, you ALL READ IT.

Thanks for the refresher course, gents, and everyone else who commented on my question / musings. Even when I was first reading comics I was more into Marvel than DC so it's entirely possible me remembering Bane in less than glowing terms was just the work of subconscious anti-rose tinted specs. It looks like I should read some of that stuff again to see how out of sync my memories of the character really are with the reality, but that teaser didn't exactly put me in the mood to do that.

          • Never read it either.

But it was a long fucking arc (a year or so...same with that 52 shit), so I am not at fault here.

            • Fuck, I even bought the Greg Rucka novelization.

It was for four bucks, but I still bought it.

              • I heard the Rucka adaptation was preferable.

                • It paired down the whole thing into a linear series and didn't have any of that Nicholas Scratch bullshit in it.

                    Um... no. I didn't.

I met Rob Riggle not too long ago. I didn't know he was from here. Cool dude.

Bane is the shit. Secret Six and No Man's Land redeemed him so much.

                              It felt pretty awesome.
