In the words of Ivan Vanko:

This was so incredibly fun, and any one who says otherwise has no taste for the finer things in life; namely, blowing shit up and nerding out on the Hammer-roid fights.
Plenty of "holy shit" moments, as well as little throwaway bits regarding the Avenger stuff coming down the pike.
I just hope it was Rockwell who thought to include his character's cosmetic quirk. That shit was pitch perfect.
Must see this again NAO.Me quick one want slow

Any truth to the rumor that...
A certain Mister M. Joel Near
makes an appearance?

ETA: The senate arms hearing has a couple bits of blue language being spoken, and Russian Rourke gets a bit violent with a few people. Aside from those bits, it is your standard loud/whiz-bang atmosphere (and it is awesome).Last edited by Captain Russ; 05-07-2010, 08:11 PM.Me quick one want slow

Caught this last night with Jen. Enjoyed it, despite a couple of slow bits and it needed just a bit more Tony and/or Rhodey in their suits. Everyone turned in great performances, nice balance of storylines.
Plus, the return of Shandling. All-in-all, go for the matinee, save a couple of bucks, and hopefully you won't get the over-excited NJ Guido crowd we got last night.
They were APPLAUDING the trailer for Grownups. Seriously.

Really, really enjoyed it. It's a notch below the first one, but it's still pretty damned good. An edit of 5-10 minutes out of the second act would really help the film.Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?
Kellan Lutz's girlfriend?

Seemed more grandiose and deserving of a superhero sqweakquel than "Bridges and Downey in downtown LA kerfuffle."
Where would you trim the fat Matt, just out of curiousity? I'd have cut out the scenes with extreme close-ups of Rourke's clubbed fingernails.
I kept thinking "can we get this man some fucking gloves already?"Me quick one want slow

Took the whole fam and saw this last night. We all enjoyed it and it kept the kids attention for the most part (they're 4 & 6) I'd also agree that the movie's a bit "fat" and could have been trimmed but not terribly so. Best part of the whole thing? My four year old blurting out "That's not appropriate" when Tony and Pepper were making out on the roof. Got a good laugh from the crowd."Fuck Rob. Also, he has a podcast called Podcaust. Edgy Holocaust humor lulz indeed." - The Faraci
