Zoolander goes beyond The Stiller. I don't really like Ben Stiller, but fuck me if Zoolander isn't one of the funniest shit on celluloid. At 1st, it was ok, but by the 3rd time, I was dying. Kinda like Anchorman.

Yeah. Ferrel, Wilson. Everyone is. His 3 roomates were hilarious. My wife watched it last year. She died she she reckonized Meekus as Iceman (Generation Kills) and Eric (Tru Blood), but then had to take a break when Bowie came on. The wine she was drinking right then came out of her nose.

I'm not going out on a limb by saying this film is what 'Anchorman' tried to be.

Granted, it came close... but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I get that. And I'm comparing it to Anchorman as to how it's jokes are slow burns. Both movies work better the 2nd time around.



The movei has a Billy Zane cameo, playing BILLY ZANE.

I just remember that Martin had that 'Will Ferrell from Zoolander' avatar FOREVER...until he replaced with 'Will Ferrell as the Architect'.

Both will come back. Mainly Mugatu. I got tired of Ferrell for a while here. But Mugatu is ACES.

I was in an ANTI-STILLER phase for a while due to burnout.

Man must have seen Heavyweights.

Heavyweights was fucking great as well for what it was. Plus we got its spiritual sequel in Dodgeball.

Judd Apatow was involved in Heavyweights. Yes, the mid 90s, when there was a brief summer camp movie revival.

Of course, the best one being Wet Hot American Summer (Which I know is 2001 but still). Anyone who says otherwise is the grandaddy of all liars.

One of my personal favorites? James Marsden's two-second cameo as John Wilkes Booth as a male model. The pursed lips and the model-glare at the camera after he shoots Lincoln is hilarious.
