So, as a new owner of a PS3, I want to purchase new titles on Blu-ray. Maybe some old ones too. I feel that when a film is released on Blu-ray, it should be the ultimate edition, with every special feature possible tossed in. But I have noticed that this isn't the trend with some studios. Some studios feel that consumers should be more than happy to pay 10-15 bucks more for better picture and sound, but give us LESS special features than you can still find on standard def releases. This really pisses me off. So every Tuesday, I am going to try and post the new Blu-ray titles coming out, and compare them to their standard def counterparts. Last week we got Rambo on Blu, but I didn't buy it cause I heard a directors cut may be in the future. So stuff like that I would like to know before I pay $25 for a movie. And if you peoples hear something, post it here. I'll get started on todays releases shortly.

Unfortunately that's not the case yet. Most of the Blu-Ray titles are pretty fucking bare. Even ones that had special edition normal Dvd's. To me, any sci-fi flick is worth picking up on Blu for the picture and sound alone."Looking like Nic Cage dressed in Kurt Cobain's closet. I mean that as a compliment" - BillyG
"Too cunty for wine bars, too dainty for real bars." - Anderson

And I wouldn't buy any more DVDs. Just hold out until Blu edition hits. That's what we are doing for There Will Be Blood.
And is why I haven't picked up the Indy set yet."Looking like Nic Cage dressed in Kurt Cobain's closet. I mean that as a compliment" - BillyG

2001: a space odyssey and full metal jacket: deluxe edition. both have been remastered.
key thing about older movies, before you splurge on it, make sure you read reviews to see if it has been remastered. otherwise, you might as well just buy/stick with the dvd and have your ps3 upconvert it.
