Monster Squad was pretty damn rad. I definitly dug it in spite of not seeing it back in the day - still rad. Kicking people in the nards never gets old. I have to say though, that Nightmare 3 was less than awesome in my opinion. Perhaps it is one of those cases where I would appreciate it more had I seen it back in the day... However, the wizard kid was pretty damn funny. The nurse seducing the self induced mute kid was pretty hot. Oh how often as a kid did I want to be seduced by an 80s porno looking nurse chick. Oh and seeing Larry Fishmaster in his early days was cool too.

I think the reason we enjoy the 3rd one so much is that it's pretty much downhill after this one. But I definately think it helps that I grew up on these movies. I am super glad you thought Monster Squad was rad. IT's so great. They dont' make movies for kids like that anymore.

Haha, yeah fucking Cj. I'm totally not EJ. bastard. And Monster Squad is totally better than the goonies if only for the sweet monster effects and liberal use of the word "Faggot" (it still sounds weird when I hear that come out of those kids mouths). Now if Mouth or Data said "faggot" more, then maybe the Goonies would be better..... hahahaha

Also, Shane (I was in Predator, wrote the first Leathal Weapon and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) Black wrote The Monster Squad and that's badass. Unlike Chris (I wrote Gremlins and then wrote garbage like Nine Months and Christmas with the Kranks) Columbus who wrote the Goonies and totally sucks.

All of that sentence makes my head hurt. Although by now so many people have copied the direction style that Aronofsky uses in this flick. One of the few flicks I just can't watch again. And not because it sucks, because it gets way to far under my skin. I had friends and myself dabble in that world for a bit but never as far as the characters do and hit close to home.

Yup. Can't ever watch it again. It is too intense, and I don't just mean ass to ass. Its like a dentist going to town on an exposed nerve.

So, you don't like the movie? So far it seems interesting...but artsy. I don't usually like artsy and the style of this shit sucks. The story seems pretty cool, but the way it's shot sucks. So I think it's cool but not really because it requires a lot of attention and thought.
