Ari is tripping. The lines and the cost are nothing compared to PAX. And the lines are only horrible if you're looking for a really popular toy/item.

How the fuck does PAX cost more than the con?

And I'd much rather go to PAX than Comic-Con.

Sorry, I was going off of last minute, day of, purchase of tickets. Max on Comic Con is $30 where as Pax is $50 even if you just go one day.

And honestly, PAX is a bitch. I waited about an hour (10th in line) to play Left 4 Dead.

Yeah, same here. Also, the money issue may prevent us from doing the con this year. Still researching.

                Well shitsocks.

They don't have the Artists' Alley list up yet. That is my Mecca. I want to go (work...lolz) there.

What researching do you need to do? You should just need to price the plane tickects. Comic Con tickets are $75 for the 4 day pass, as long as you order them now. And Corey is trying to price the hotel rooms, so you just really need to budget for that and the plane tickets.

I wouldn't worry about the Artists list. Anyone who's anyone is always there. It's just a matter of getting to them first. As long as the artists aren't away the whole time, which could happen.

                    • And if you want to get into the big panels, you just need to get there early and wait (in line). But that's because the room isn't ready.

                      • A definite incentive would be if people from the 11 O'Clock Comics/Around Comics podcasts were getting a table this year.

Those fellas know how to do it: drink heavily and talk shit about each other's opinions on a comic.

                        Also: Bill Sienkiewicz.

If I see that name on the Alley list, I'm going to throw down a piece of cardboard on my living room floor and breakdance. And I might even register for my pass.

                        • Ok Hotels go up for comic con on March 19th.. I need to know who is going, I am taking care of the Hotel details ( sorry not paying for all of it ) but making sure that we get rooms, I know that there is a shit load of people and I really wanna try not to cram 7 or people to a room if we don't have to... If you have a place to stay then disregard this message.. If you could let me know by Sunday March 15th, on who needs a place to sleep while at Comic-Con that would be awesome.

Now Im sure a couple people want an idea on cost for the rooms, well you will be looking at about $56.00-$80.00 a night per person/ times 4 nights = about $280.00-$320.00 per person... It might sound expensive, but these are hotels that you can see the convention center out the window.. or basically 5-9min walk.. Prices may also be lower, but not sure until Hotels go online

For anyone new this year to Comic-Con this is a big deal due to a few things #1 you forgot something, your tired & wanna go back to the hotel, but your not driving ( it is a hassle for who is, especially if they are not ready to leave the convention yet) #2 you are drving and have to park (#1 is a hassle #2 can be in line for a long time trying to park if you don't get there early enough #3 may have to park far away up to 2miles #4 parking is not free)..And not everyone will want to leave at the same time, (trying to get people up in the morning can be a bitch)..

Another alternative that worked out good for those of us who went last year is our hotel had a Comic Con Bus route so we did that, it came every 15 mins and was 1/3 mile form out hotel...

So I hope this helps everyone, and I hope you can all make it, like I said if it is your first Comic Con it definitely won't be your last
