Brain Dead Radio Episode 65: Beat The Heat

Rob and Ceej are back to bring the pumps back to the bumps with an amazing discussion about the legacy of M.C. Hammer, how they both try to beat the heat, and they try to rate their favorite Baldwin brother. Pauly Shore needs to weasel his way back into our hearts, Rob asks Ceej for wedding advice, they chat about Cabin in the Woods (Spoilers 21:25 - 33:15), and then Rob discovers he has a baby neck. Rob hangs out with the Avengers (Spoilers 34:09 - 41:15), Ceej has some great ideas when the eventual Batman reboot happens, and they both loved Batman: The Animated Series, Ceej puts Rob and his comrades through hell with their first ever Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and then they give some play to the The Walking Dead game (Spoilers).

Cabin in the Woods was so damn great. [Spoiler Alert] Rob, as a Hellraiser fan, I know you loved their version of the cenobites (Razorhead!!) as much as I did. Felt like seeing them for the first time as a kid. So awesome, right?

Ceej is an awesome guy, but when I hear him say things like "Who is Ryan Gosling?" "I don't like Christian Bale's Batman" and "Not into comics" it's like he threw my McChicken on the ground and stepped on it.

Great episode yet again. Total agreement with Rob and CJ on Dark Knight Rises - I'll see it, but it's not getting me as jazzed about it as I was for Avengers.

And yes, the animated Batman stuff is light years ahead of both the comics and the films, IMHO.

Hopefully you dig it. This episode kind of re-invigorated me. We discussed why it's been so hard to keep a weekly podcast going and it's obviously because LOST isn't on anymore. That was always an easy 20-30 mins that would help spin off other conversations. Now that we've been doing one every 2 weeks or so, we hope to keep up on a schedule. The wedding has been cutting into it, so once that's over I'm hoping to get back to a normal release of episodes.

The rest is the best part, son. Jimmy Woods just beating the shit out of the stuntman/priest dude and havin' a good time being a swag mother. Not to mention he sells using those fucking Nerf guns as legit weapons.
