So Guitar Hero Live stores your DLC in the cloud which basically means you're leasing it. If we lived in a world where "always online" meant always online it wouldn't be too bad. Totally weak. I mean, I was to going to buy it at launch anyway* but that's just a bad idea.

There are three ways to play those new songs. First, you can wait for them to come up in a GHTV show; think back to the '90s, when you hoped MTV would air the music video for your favorite song. You can also spend Coins for a single play, like putting a dollar into a jukebox to spin up a track.

And if you really love a song, you can pay — with real money, in the form of HC — to have it permanently added to your catalog for on-demand access. DLC songs went for $2 a pop in the previous games, and Jackson said pricing here will be "within that same ballpark."

That being said, all of the remake news and related junk is part of why I fucking hate gamers. Unimaginative shits that demand nothing, get nothing and then heap false praise slams on their ever-present shit lords that continue wiping their ass with them.

It's why I don't take any commentary seriously from gamers about anything that actually constitutes art or shit that matters.

They wouldn't know narrative structure if bit them on their Mountain Dew stained peehole.

hmmmms I kind of like that.

I think the GHTV streaming thing is really neat, especially the ability to jump in and play in the middle of a song, but I'm not cool with the cloud DLC.

I think it's mostly been buried or not mentioned much but RB4 will not have online play at launch. I generally don't play RB online now but the new Shows feature had me excited to jump back in. Bummer.
