You'll get it eventually. If all else fails, go into practice mode and try the songs at full speed to get a sense of the orange button. It helps to shift your hand one so "home row" is red to orange. Much easier to stretch your index finger than your pinky.

OK, so what in the fuckzoid. There's no bundle out now? I only found a bundle that specified with keyboard on Amazon, but it didn't say anything about the rest of the instruments. I was going to surprise my GF with it for her Bday/Xmas gift (she's dying to play RB3 with all our family on Thanksgiving) but Best Buy only showed a bundle coming on the 15th with the midi adapter or something for like $999!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That kit comes with real instruments you don't need and seems pretty ridiculous. You'll probably have to buy everything separately, which is annoying. There isn't even a RB3 bundle on rockbandstore.com.

Yea, that's ridiculous. I guess I can go get my RB2 stuff from my buddies, but we usually Rock Band there, so I figured it would be nice to have a good set at each place. $130 for game and keytar only seems super excessive.

Fucking love this game all over again. It had been a long time since I rocked some RB and after grabbing the new one and the keyboard this weekend I played for a few hours. Awesome. The keyboard is fun as fuck. Still learning the prokeys, but I can do decent on expert on the non-pro keys. Huey Lewis is fantastic on keyboard.
