I don't know if I'll be able to recommend it to someone who hasn't played any of them. The story is a convoluted mess, the gameplay mechanics can annoy the fuck outta me, but goddamn if I'm not entertained while playing. I dunno. I'll report back tonight after I play a bit. I'm sure Bruce could hype you up. Plus the online part was pretty fucking fun when Bruce and I played for a bit. Way way slower thqan COD4 or HALO3 and is epic when you work together as a team. ari, metal gear is basically a third person shooter with elements of sneakiness. you'd like it. and plus you can carry around porn and leave it out for the enemies to umm... occupy themselves with while you kill them or knock them out.Comment

Easy there Nerdious. He's never played one. I <3 Metal Gear, but other games have taken it's gameplay formula and made it way better: Splinter Cell series. Imagine never playing any of the MGS's and then you played MGS3. I have a feeling you wouldn't like it. Kojima is a master at cinematic storytelling, but the gameplay mechanics sometimes hinder the game. hey! i'll tell ari what he'll like and what he won't! just like i did with the ps3. isn't that right ari? hahaha.
i've liked the metal gear solid series. it's not as intense as playing through cod4 or anything and rob is correct in comparing it to splinter cell. i prefer mgs over splinter cell though.
anyways, i think we could have more people here get it so that we can get a podcaust room up in metal gear online. haha.Comment
