Downloaded Scott Pilgrim so I could get my free $10 in MS points. Fuck, even on easiest difficulty that game is kind of a bitch, but really only because it's so slavish in its 8 bit ways. Still a good time though. I was playing and one of the corrupt cartridge levels popped up and I totally geeked out and was yelling "Look babe look! It's like my old Bayou Billy cart!"

Just played Kinect for about an hour. Totally waiting until they patch this. It's slow (on the dashboard), the games I played (Kinect Adventures and Kinectamals) were okay but they really do need alot of space for two people. Move is better at the moment.

Try Sports. I hated the dynamic of Adventures, but Sports made the difference. The shit needs a patch, though.

The slowness killed it for me. If it's not faster with voice/gesture then what's the fucking point? Also, not having a controller kills it. I played this driving game thing in Kinectimals that felt completely off because I was holding nothing. Unless Microsoft and their developers find a killer genre, this won't be the game changer they hoped.

The controls aren't that fucked. They need an update to make it run smoother.

Adventures was probably the wrong game to bundle with the system.

What I did notice was that if you stay in the Best area...It makes a world of difference. GOOD area has mixed results.

I dunno, the Wii sold me right away. Shit, even Move sold me right away (and I'm still kinda pissed I was an early adopter of it only because of all the shovel ware) but the fact that the Hub is so bare at launch seems suspect. WHERE THE FUCK IS MY NETFLIX KINECT AREA? Seriously, that's fucking dumb. Fuck you Zune Marketplace. Although, I'm sure if I played that Dance game I'd be singing a different tune. But this is not going to replace the controller at all. And as of now, this can only work within certain genres. At least the Move can in theory work for all genres.

Also, it's not faster than a controller, even with the voice commands. I figure I'll grab this in 6 months when they patch it to work.
