MW3 is a decent MW story arc completion but best FPS campaign? No fucking way. half life 1 and 2, the original COD, in MW3 you're a tourist. you dont control the campaign or what happens. You follow the dude that says FOLLOW and watch some AWESOME shit happen, but that's about it. They need to put the MW series on ice until the next xbox (wont ever fucking happen) and ditch the really horrible "follow" mechanic and let the player actually control what happens. Give us options for paths, let us lead the battle, not follow the battalion and watch them lead us on. Theres no realy sense of accomplishment or I MADE THAT HAPPEn like in other fps.

Half Life are cool, but the story has no resolution, and Valve doesn't seem intent to finish it. It's not about the control over the story, it's about the ride, and it's a hell of a great one.

To be honest, now that IW's main employees left the house, I might take a break from it.

Sledgehammer Games had a LOT more to do with MW3 than IW did. At least 50% of the IW staff had left, if not significantly more and they didn't even restaff, they just brought on Sledgehammer. I really don't like that because I wanted to see what Sledgehammer could do with their own franchise, but oh well. As for being a ride, that's just kind of a turn off. A hell of a ride sure, but it's a videogame. I want interaction. If I just want a good story or a crazy visual there's film or books. I want control over my situation in games, and COD just doesn't do that. And that's fine, but that formula just isn't going to cut it past the next Treyarch release.

Me. It's not that it's boring per se, but the games are so disjointed it's no funny. And those ant-lions? Retarded. I'll give props for the Ravenholm level, but each I finish these game, it's a huge "that's it?"

The story blows. Can't wait to see what retarded shit they'll use to explain it.

But the worse is releasing the sequel to HL2 in mini games. So so stupid.

Shoot, I don't know if I've even made it to Ravenholm. Is that the haunted mansion where you get the gravity gun? That level was okay. I've tried in earnest to get through Half Life 2 at least three times. I keep hoping it will grab my attention and I'll understand why everyone skeets all over it but it just hasn't happened.

The MW3 campaign, however, continues to be big, stupid Bay-esque fun.

Yes it was Ravenholm. Overall, I kinda like Halflife, but it never grabs me. It has really cool concepts and good execution, but so far Portal is THE Valve game.

MW3 is what would happen if Michael Bay directed a Tom Clancy movie.

Never made it through HL2. IT looked awesome but failed to do anything for me. Really dug the first one though.

Beat this last night. I have no problem with short campaigns when it's this epic. Had a blast with it even with the abrupt ending.
