So, I finished the game last weekend. I have mixed feelings about this game. Maybe it's because I've played a lot of Dragon Age recently, but I can't bring myself to start another playthrough.

It's not as 'replayable' as DA:O, that's for sure.

Some good mods are starting to show up on dragonagenexus.com. EA/Bioware didn't release a modding toolkit for DA2, so the modders have had to figure out new and more devious ways of creating effective mods for the game. There's been a couple of good breakthroughs in the past 2 weeks, so I may start up another playthrough soon...scratch that RPG itch until 'LA Noire' streets.

Just curious: is there a site out there that tracks the sales figures on games? I'm curious how DA2 is doing...my instincts tell me that the numbers will not equal DAO.

Not anymore. I forgot the name of the organization that tracks it, but publishers paid them to no longer release it to media, so we have no idea.

I'm working on my own mods for DA2 now (with the assistance of another modder). This is kinda fun, and it's giving me some working experience with Photoshop. When I get something posted, I'll let you know...it'll be soon.

The 'Dragon Age II Legacy DLC' is pretty solid. It takes you outside of Kirkwall and give you a bunch of darkspawn to kill. The final boss battle is fairly challenging in hard/nightmare mode. You can whip through it all in about 3 hours, I think...probably faster if you press.

Unfortunately, this means I'd have to be stuck with Anders again.

You don't have to have Anders in your party. NOBODY is mandatory, although I think that there are advantages to having Varric in there, storywise. Based upon my first playthrough, I'm definitely going to bring him along on my second one.

I see you can get the sisterwizard to join, so all is not lost.

yeah, totally. your brother/sister get permission to join you if you're in acts 2 or 3. That was kinda cool.

Put this bad mother back in the eggbox for some Legacy. And for a final cheev sweep.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's short, but it also has some pretty cool character moments and revevevevevevelations for the Hawke family as well as the institutions that make up the DA world (I'm givin' you the stink eye, Chantry).

I just hope they release one or two more like this, even though they probably won't because Bioware hates me specifically and hopes all the bad things in life happen to me and nobody else but me.
