I'm kinda with Grave on this one. What differentiates it from the other CoD's? Or is it just more of the same? The single player on these games are always laughable (except for 1-3 awesome scenes).

I'm digging the single player a LOT. Maybe more than MW1 or MW2. The set pieces are fucking incredible and the level design isn't as murky as in past COD games. There were a couple places that I got insta-fragged over and over as is par for the course, and in one Vietnam section there was a part I wasn't really clear of my path, but those have been my only issues so far. Coming off Medal of Honor, well EA should be embarrassed, and that coming from someone that didn't hate MoH. As far as 1-3 awesome scenes, every fucking level is awesome. There is zero fat to the game so far, aside from one "flashback" I don't want to spoil. I could give away set pieces, but I don't want to ruin the moments of awesome. But, some highlights.

Dragonbreath Rounds + SPAS12 = Best videogame shotgun ever. If I can use Dragonbreath rounds (your shotgun will literally breath fucking fire) in multi, I will be a shotgunning bitch.

Walking out of the tent in Vietnam to CCR on the radio and Hueys filling the sky. Then playing "Apocalypse Now: THE GAME."

Interrogating someone via a mouth full of glass.

And the graphics are really impressive. Which is pretty tough to do anymore, unless it's a striking art style, but the way the strap bounces off the Commando assault rifle and when your buddy Reznov is telling his flashback story with the rain coming down on him, those eyes are legit. Better emotion than Heavy Rain pulled off.

I'm really impressed. Anyone can go back to my post history about how I was saying FUCK DIS GAME after IW got hosed, but Treyarch stepped up to the plate. Now, I say all this based solely on the campaign. I hope to get into multi tonight, depending on when I get home from the job site tonight. The SMASH TV game is pretty fun as well, played it for about 10 minutes. Oh, and gotdamn does Treyarch love their slo-mo shootouts. Maybe a tad too much.

Trejo, what's your complaints?

EDIT: Forgot, Sam Worthington voices your character. He's supposedly Alaskan. Why does he suddenly sound like he's pounding Fosters and yelling over a cricket match? And Ice Cube is HILARIOUS. "Look at those FUCKERS run."

Dead Rising 2 loses its novelty fast. I'm trying for a 1000/1000 on it.

I have COD sitting among the packages. I've only played a few bits on a PS3 screener copy I'm borrowing. Solid stuff.

Half way through the campaign on Veteran, everything Billy says is true. I love the Dragon's Breath. I tried a little multiplayer, it's more of the same, but with some fun, new modes mostly the wager matches. One in the Chamber, has you spawn with a pistol and 1 bullet and 3 lives. Sticks and stones, you spawn with the Crossbow with the explosive, tactical knife and a tomahawk. Gun Game, everyone spawns with the same weapon and you have to get a kill with it to move on to the next weapon in the cycle until you reach the final gun. Knife kills set the person you knife back 1 weapon. Sharpshooter has everyone spawn with the same random weapon and the weapons cycle every 45 seconds. I had a good time with them all.

They did add a currency system to Black Ops, not sure what purpose it serves, you still have to reach certain levels in order to unlock a gun and then you have to buy it. I suppose it's there for the wager matches.

One negative to add from me, no fucking Stopping Power perk anymore. That was probably my one constant perk on all my fucking loadouts. I miss it. At least there's no nuke. Oh, and Zombies are back and I fucking love it! I'll be playing that too much like I did in WAW.
