If you dug any of the priors, Matt, check out 5. It looks insane.

Amazing. Really in love with Civ 5. I already have the next turn addiction in full force. I was never the biggest Civ player, my previous most time was spent with 3, and I often felt more overwhelmed by it than anything. Not this time. I felt a bit lost for about 15 minutes. I started clicking on menus (so much is hidden until you click the tab to open it, very clean design) and then the adviser would pop up and give me some hints and info. And there is a huge in-game encyclopedia to reference at any time.
Everything really feels so very streamlined though. You're never left wondering where your units are, or who needs commands, or what needs to be done. You're always receiving prompts to give a command, pick a research or construction project, things like that. It might feel like hand holding, but in reality it's just cutting out so much of the micro-management. I really want to get home and play some more.

Guys, this game is bad. Crack bad. Herrrrrrrron bad. Methamphetamine bad. I just needed a few more turns to get my first unit that can explore the deep ocean. OHHH I have it now. OK, I won't go to sleep yet, a few turns to explore and find a new land mass, ok? OK. I found the land mass...and a new city-state! Maybe I should see if I can make a settlement here!
Of course, leading to this was the annexation of three city-states, the invasion of the Japanese lands followed by annexation and putting down the rebellions. And settling the northern lands filled with tundra, deer, and sheep. And iron! Longswordmen decimate my opponents.
Fuck guys get this game I don't wanna be the only one hooked.

FUCK THAT ROUND! Ugh, got greedy taking out an enemy that kept talking shit, while acknowledging, but ignoring, the huge army of Japan that was taking out all the other civilizations. Instead of negotiating peace on the front line I overextended myself then spent about 100-125 turns defending/taking back cities Japan took. After doing that I spent all my time balancing my economy and trying to get my people somewhat happy with me again. UGH. Glad I get NBA2K11 tomorrow.
