  • System Upgrades

I bring this up because Rob got me thinking about it on Friday.

His PS3 sounds like a helicopter and it makes it hard to watch BR movies.

My 360 is always running out of storage space and it makes it hard to enjoy my free swag.

Who here has dealt with system upgrades? Is it silly to double up on something you already have?

Also, who's got an Elite? If I make the upgrade to the 120 or 250, I don't want this bitch RRODing on me.

I have an Elite 360. I bought it within the first month of them being out (my launch 360 died, and this was before the RROD warranty extension) and it has died once. I sent it off and got it repaired, and it's worked fine. I've noticed lately during long gaming sessions, which there have been a few with Red Dead that I get some freezing, but I don't know if that's the Elite or the game. I'm glad I got it just to get the bigger HDD.

It's getting to the point that I need the larger HDD.

With Hulu coming in the Summer, I have plans to convert the current 360 in a media box of sorts. There's been a lot of those media updates for the Summer package that have just made me want to upgrade.

Our 360 and PS3 are both set up as media boxes. Works flawlessly.

Hopefully with the release of Natal the HDD will drop in price. I don't know how they will continue to justify pricing a HDD at $100+ when the Natal, a mind blowing piece of FUTUREHOTTECH is going to run about the same.

They still charge nearly 100 bucks for the network adapter. It's Microsoft, they will find a way.

Just buy a few 16 gig flash drives and call it good. That's what I plan on doing.
