It's pretty damn satisfying. The core mechanics of the game are damn similar to the others, but it is polished to the point of being ridiculous. My only "gripe" was one boss encounter that seriously felt like a WoW raid. I don't know how I would have got by him without being in co-op.

Loved the campaign. I really thought it was a great end to the series. I know it's not particularly deep but the one bit in the middle was really well done. I was not expecting to actually get sad during the game because it's all dudebro this and WOOOOOO that.

Which boss battle did you have trouble with, Billy? I didn't have any problems going solo on Normal difficulty but there were definitely sections that will be impossible alone on Hardcore or Insane.

It was the boss after the fort sequence, that charges you, then drops the gas. We were in a group of three in hardcore mode. He was fucking insanely tough, took at least 90 minutes to kill him.

Yeah, that's going to be tough. I think pretty much every fight on Insane will require two teams of two to flank and/or distract.

Ugh, multi is just rampant bumrush/shotgun whoring. Not fun at all. My quest for level 50 suffers an unfairly quick and gruesome destruction.

You level up doing anything. Campaign co-op, horde mode... no reason to suffer through that shitty deathmatch mode.

Insane is super easy if you use the Awesome Reload and Infinite Ammo mutators. Holy cow. The problem is you have to grind to get the mutators. Thank God for friends who put the work in for you!

Pretty fun game so far. Only halfway through Act 2 I believe. Love the new finisher moves.

So, yeah, that fight Billy mentioned earlier is a fucking nightmare on Insane. Also the fight leading up to the boss is a kick in the dick if you're playing with someone who isn't great.

Many, the final boss is a real bitch on Insane. Went through three Hammers and still didn't finish. I think the fight will take at least an hour without dying.
