    • Not picking Wild Wasteland is choosing poorly.

I seriously hope you guys don't do this.

            • My body was not ready.

I'm level 35 on this latest playthrough, perked off my tits.

The deathclaws in The Divide are like Stallone'd Deathclaws. Those giant bullshits are not messing around. I have been diced into ribbons five or six times now.

That said, the new monsters are also tough little bastards. Like a mix of tremors, iguanas, and predators, or as I like to call them, 'Herzogs'.

It's atmospheric, creepy, and tense. Being in confined, obscured areas (the fog machines are set to HIGH in this) that are heavily populated by hostile Herzogs and other likeminded individuals will do that.

              • Found the greatest weapon in the history of Fallout.

Not the Fatman, not the experimental MIRV, not even FIDO.

The fucking Industrial Arm. It's a ballistic fist with a fucking circular saw on it. I am in love. I am in love with this murder glove.

                • That's hilarious. Ready for Fallout in the Skyrim engine. I didn't play Oblivion near as much as Morrowind, and the environment kept me going in Fallout 3. By New Vegas I was tired of it.

                  • Yeah, even with the hi-res texture packs, the revamped weather/sky mods, and everything else I put into polishing it, the Mojave has lost some of its spark for me. Time for an overhaul.

On the plus side, the latest DLC reminds me of F3 quite a bit. Lots of travel through destroyed sky scrapers, shitloads of legit nuclear fallout (Lonesome Road is set around a nuke facility), and deathclaws out the bootyhole.

                    Took it long enough.

                    • Nice homage to Planet of the Apes if you have the Wild Wasteland perk and choose the "fuck errybody" option at the end of Lonesome Road.

Not as insane as Old World Blues, and lacking the humor found within (It can be overly serious, especially when one hears Ulysses' gravelly monotone in holotapes or over Ed-E's loudspeaker. But I suppose when one is dealing with potentially triggering another nuclear catastrophe, it should probably be handled in such a manner.), but it has a scope to it that is uncharacteristic of the previous DLC. That it is the final DLC for Fallout: Lou Bega makes me somewhat wistful, wishing I could return to it all again with fresh eyes.

That said, I love this game. Warts and all, it was a fun ride and I can't wait for the next chapter in the saga of wasteland to unfold.
