Think of when you were playing Everquest or WoW (not grinding but doing lame quests). It's an excuse to sit around and bs with friends for a few hours while killing shit. I'll still have this game in a few months and I'll probably still be down to play it.

I'm considering picking it up this weekend when I go out for a new Live account card thingie. If this shit is anything like Fallout, I'm going to be pissed.

Gameplay is NOTHING like Fallout. The only thing they have in common is FPS and post apocalyptic setting. No vats, no fixing your weapons. Just kill shit, get loots and repeat. Best played co-op with friends.

Well, I wasn't a fan of Fallout 3 but this game is a little similar. I like better so far but it does get boring running back and forth doing missions sometimes. All that said, I keep playing because co-op can be fun. I'm learning that I'm not much of a fan of level grinding. Not much of an RPG fan I suppose. At least when you aim at an enemy, you hit them, unlike Fallout 3.

How is this game like Fallout? Other than setting? Yeah you shoot stuff in both but you do that in CoD too but This game isn't CoD either. The pacing is drastically different, and borderlands does not take itself serious like Fallout.

Not trying to start a nerd war but I just don't see the comparison.

I agree with B. With Borderlands you can just boot up and play for a bit without all the intricacies of Fallout 3. You really don't even deal with skill points, rather you're given a skill tree and are allow to choose which branch want to your character to specialize in.

Honesly, think of it as a cartoony co-op COD4.
