I understand that the space oriented stuff is excellent, but the ground combat is pretty meh. Indeed, over on the other site, many of them are saying that this would play better as a standard space-based rpg.

Well personally, I feel like it would at the moment (haven't really done much) but I figure I'll give it a month and see if I'll get sucked in. But I haven't had any pvp or anything of the like. As that could be pretty great. But the space stuff is pretty neat.

Yeah but so far this seems like the best Star Trek game since the original series games from Interplay back in the day. But all MMO's are like this in my opinion. I honestly think that if you have buddies that played this that it could pretty neat rolling 4-5 ships deep and fucking shit up. The technobabble is all up in it and the bridge officers are kinda neat.
