Jake, you're going through a break up, just buy the Thunderbird and get it over with.
One night, we were sitting around my friend Jay's house drinking (beer, mind you). He busted out the ol' acoustic guitar and started singing a 5 bar blues that went a lil' sumthin' like this:
Friday Night,
Pint by pint,
Me and my friends get done real right
on Thunderbird. Yeah, Thunderbird.
For a dolla fifteen, you KNOW what I mean, it's Thunderbird.
He then went around the room and we all had to ad lib a verse. I can't recall any but my own, which went:
Now listen fellas,
Don't ask me to rhyme.
'Cuz I ain't got the patience,
And I ain't got the time!
Thunderbird!
etc.
Apparently, the guys I hung out with went thru a Thunderbird phase before I started hanging out w/ them (I met them in high school, and the T bird phase was when they were in 8th grade). Kind of glad I missed that. I'll just take the beer & occasional foray into Jack, thanks. The moral of the story, of course, is don't fuckin' do the Thunderbird.
I like the way the line runs up the back of the stocking.
Didn't SRV do a "Thunderbird" song back when he first started in a band? It was something and The Cobras.

Fuck it, just grabbed a bottle of Glenlivet 12 year from Rite-Aid. I'll buy the higher top-shelf stuff next week when I get paid.
