You need to see our food building, Ed. The morbidly obese spend hours in there, grazing on cheese curds and other deep fried goodness.

Honestly, I have nothing but sympathy for the overweight. I understand that genetics has played a part in your physical makeup and, for many of you, you are at your healthy, normal weight. God bless you and keep on keepin' on. I have VERY LITTLE sympathy for the morbidly obese, though. You can't blame all of that shit on genetics, especially when you're pounding 20K calories of deep fried cheese curdy shit...especially when I see you at the grocery store with 2 carts full of cheesy poofs.

I don't think NYC has ren fairs. They do have dumpster swimming pools and those things are ingenious.

Well, we have street fairs, where they pick a street and block it off for blocks (see what I did there?). And the food is every deep-fried thing you can imagine, plus lots of clothes and crafts and such. Always a good time when you stumble upon one!

And THEN you have the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy every September, which is coming soon! That's NYC's version of the state fair! Just all of Little Italy is out in the street, playing music, feeding people, and it's a blast!

Definitely going to Ren Fest this year. I propose a BDR COMPETITION! Photograph all your Ren Fest feasting, and post your best "drunk with a beer stein and massive turkey leg" picture. Bonus points for food/mead stuck in facial hair.
